doesn't it seem just a little bit ostentatious to write a "mini-biography" of yourself? i admit, the concept seems slightly silly to me, but in any event, here goes. i have this wonderful room i built in our house that we call the "mommy-ellie playroom." ellie is my daughter. we use our playroom for all sorts of wonderful and varied artistic ventures. they spill out into the whole house. what started as rubber-stamping five or six years ago turned into collage art and altered books, turned into fabric dyeing and painting, spawned a whole host of other interests including felting, knitting, silverwork and more. this week, one of my friends said her artist-mom had suggested she just focus on three major areas. i don't think i'm developed enough to narrow that focus. instead, i'm still in the stage of expanding and becoming an artist.
